Due to the government shutdown last year, the IRS was forced to delay the start of the tax filing season for individuals. Now that we are in “crunch time,” you can expect some additional delays in processing returns.
If you are waiting for a refund, you can track its progress using the “Where’s My Refund” feature at www.irs.gov. Procrastinators who have not filed yet are encouraged to move quickly as the April 15 deadline fast approaches.
