Georgia Gives Day: Nonprofits Register by October 1
The Georgia Center for Nonprofits has announced the third annual Georgia Gives Day will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2014. This online fundraiser drives awareness and donations for participating nonprofits across the state in a condensed 24-hour day of giving. All nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) designation are invited to participate free of charge and may register at www.GAgivesday.org by October 1 (nonprofits registered in prior years do not need to do so again).
Smith & Howard participates in first annual Food Fight, sponsored by the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Smith & Howard joined other CPA firms around the state in a “food fight” to collect money and donations of nonperishable food for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. CPA firms competed to see which firms could provide the largest amount of dollars and food (in pounds) per person.
