Recruiting season is here and Smith & Howard is gearing up for on-campus recruiting visits. This fall we will be visiting the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Auburn University and Kennesaw State University searching for the best and brightest students who are looking to begin a career in public accounting.
The main objective of recruiting season is to find top notch candidates to fill internships and full-time opportunities in our Accounting and Advisory, Assurance and Tax departments. We are also looking for students to participate in our annual Leadership Institute program that is held each July. Participants who are accepted (through our application process) to the Leadership Institute have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a keen interest in a career in accounting.
At a minimum, the ideal candidate for a position with Smith & Howard demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard. As most candidates will be joining our firm for busy season, January through April, it is important that students understand that working on weekends is commonplace, they must be willing to work full-time and should plan on foregoing classes during this time of year.
